Face Beautique does private group booking for spray tans before your special event, such as bridal parties, pre-formals, upcoming events, etc. Please enquire below.

Pre Tan

  • All hair removal is to be done a day prior to your appointment to ensure your tan goes on evenly, and to reduce any irritation on the skin. This minimises any risk of tan getting trapped and appearing dotty on your skin

  • Shower and exfoliate your skin before the appointment. Dry skin = a patchy tan.

  • Do not wear perfume, deodorant, moisturiser and jewellery on appointment day.

  • We advise you to have your tan done 1-2 days prior to your event for the best results.

  • We provide disposable undies and hair caps.  

  • Wear something dark, loose and comfortable.

  • If you wear contact lenses please remove them prior to tanning.

Post Tan

  • Watch out for water! to avoid any steaks or patchers until you shower.

  • Leave on the skin for a minimum of 1.5 hours, and for a darker result, leave on the skin for up to 8 hours.

  • Avoid swimming and sweating for the first 24 hours after tan.

  • Ensure you are covered head to toe if the weather is wet.

Make it last

  • Moisturiser- Hydrate, hydrate hydrate!! one of the best things you can do for your glow up and to keep it that way is too moisturise.

  • Gradual tan- Perfect for adding depth to areas where the tan may start to lift. 

Removing

  • Tan removing and skin polishing glove- To Easley and safely remove any old build up of tan. Use in shower or Barth in circler motions to remove the tan.

  • Soak in a Barth- Soaking in a bath or spa makes exfoliating old tan much easier as the skin is softened and top layers easier to remove.

Q&A

  • Don’t worry, what you have rinsed off in the shower is the bronzer not the tan itself. Your tan will continue to develop for 12 hours after application, so give your tan this time to develop so you can see the final result.

  • Before Rinsing: Most tans have a bronzer that can transfer onto clothing, sheets, and towels before you shower. All tans are water soluble meaning as soon as it touches water it will disolve.

    After Rinsing: sweating or wearing tight clothing can sometimes cause slight transfer. This should not cause your clothing to stain.

  • Yes! You must wear SPF! Having a fake tan does not protect your skin from the sun and UV rays.

  • Testing indicates that the DHA does not penetrate the skin, nor enter the bloodstream, therefore it appears safe to spray you. However, as a precaution, we suggest you seek permission from a doctor, prior to being sprayed.

  • Yes, we can at your request! its personal preference.

  • We recommend talking to your doctor, we are happy to give you the details of our tan ingredients or do a patch test.

  • We suggest nails before the tan if you do it on the same day!
    If you do the nails after the tan on the same day they may buff the tan away around your nails, leaving while marks near your nail beds. Jut make sure they dont wet your hands or feet otherwise the tan will come off!
